Knoppix off the CD is a pretty good distribution, but has many limitations
due to running off the CD.
Using knx-hdinstall to install Knoppix gets you an installed debian
distribution.
knx-hdinstall needs a lot of work, though.
Part of that is fixing the post-install setup, e.g. setting up
/etc/apt/sources to make further updates easier. I think it should default
to pointing at testing and only a few of the alternative sources.
