screensavers

I have VNC running(gnome) on my computer, and when I'm at home I use KDE.
I've noticed that when the screensaver kicks in on my VNC session, the
screensavers that play are completely different than the ones listed as
available for gnome. Why is this? Are the two desktops so fragmented that
they hold separate screensaver directories? How do I put them all into one
place?
