I should add, that you can run a hybrid setup where you run your system
on the SSD and put your home directory on an spinning drive. That's
actually how I have most of my systems setup as I use a HUGE amount of
space. That way all the stuff that needs to be fast is and the stuff
that just needs to be stored is on the cheaper spinning disks.
If you want to do that, you can same a lot of money and just get a
240gig SSD, which is more than enough for your system files, and spend
the different in cost for a couple of terabytes of spinning storage.
If you want to get really fancy, you could partition part of your SSD
off and use it as a cache for your spinning drive and kinda have you
cake and eat it too.
