There are a number of different versions for that Intel Pro 100 and I believe
they all use different drivers. If it works in ME/2K then maybe you can use
those OSes to help you identify which one it is exactly (or if you also have
Linux on the laptop it may be helpful as well [lspci is a nice command]).
