I am on several lists with Craig, and trust me, his email social skills have
improved immensely over the last year (or so, I am really bad with time… could
be six months, could be six years)

However, I will say that when he knows what he is talking about and (generally)
thinks the other person does too, his graces tend to give way to bluntness for
the sake of both brevity and impact… Then again, it could be he just gets
cranky and feals the needs to answer the email before getting his caffeine /
sugar fix ;)
But in any case his value should never be in question, I am generally impressed
with his responses, and I would say he is in the top 20 responders on at least
two lists we have in common.. if not more. (I don't sort by list)

True, he can be harsh some times, but rarely is it to some one who was not in a
position to understand it. Ie. Usually it is to technically competent people
who are in positions of IT administration. To new’bs and home techs he has been
fairly brief but kind…
In addition, even I am unwittingly harsh from time to time (Ok, about as often
as Craig…) But this is the cures of such a poor (as apposed to rich) form of
communication like email. Again, Craig, your email social skills still require
some polish, but generally they have gotten much better… Seriously
As for the list environment, there are a few people who have requested kit
gloves, and we should do everything possible to provide them. And yes this
thread did start out a bit harsh…

<At this point I believe it is getting late and I am babbling>

BTW Craig, would you be up for presenting Hord to the ASULUG group some time?
We have a meeting about once a month, and we still need presenters for the Mega
Insatllfest on the 23rd of April.
