Subject: Re: 1st question - installing java on Mandrake
Here's a link to specific instructions to install java. This will work
on most distributions and I have specifically used it on Mandrake:

http://www.uselinuxathome.com/ENjava.htm

When the instruction say to download the installer, don't follow the
link, go directly to the sun/java site at
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp.
Hope this helps.
