I have had similar issues with going from MS Office to
OOo with documents that have complex tables like your
sample documents posted. Here a few comments I have
on this situation:
1. When I opened up your first document in 1.1.4rc1,
it did screw up like you indicated. However, when I
opened it up in a recent daily build of the 2.0 series,
it mostly came out fine. Some of the formating in the
document was tweaked but I think two minutes of manual
tuning would make it look great.
2. The calendar sample in the 1.1.X and 1.9.X builds are
completely screwed up. When I had these types of issues
I added my $.02 to an existing Bugzilla ticket on
the specific issue and a fix made it into the
daily builds within a few short weeks. You might
want to look into doing the same thing. In the
mean time it looks like more than a few manual
edits are in order to make it work in OOo.
