Isn't this what MIT and Stanford do? I don't think it's a bad thing IF
the money is put back into the schools. If exciting research is going on,
and it becomes commercialized then the students will be able to move into
that job after graduation. Imagine being in on the ground floor of SUN
which came from Stanford or Netscape from the NCSA.

I reckon that companies aren't paying as much for R&D and it needs to be
done somewhere here in the US.

At least that's my $.02.
