When I was up at COMDEX this last year, I found out what geo-caching is. Basically, it is a treasure hunt using GPS modules.
During COMDEX, AMD had scattered 16 "cache" sites around the Strip and outside of Vegas. They gave you a free GPS to use and a listing with clues as to each site. The GPS units had the coordinates for each of the sites so you basically entered which one you were looking for and it showed the information on the screen and helped you find it. Some of them were 25 miles outside of Vegas.
I had a great time with it. The more cache sites you found, the more entries you could do. The main prize was a complete 64-bit system (didn't win), and they had other prizes as well (didn't win those either).
It was a blast to do. If I had a GPS here, I would probably try it again.
