My biggest gripe about Cox, I'll spare you the amusing anecdotes, they can be
found in the archive (if you download the tarball and dig), is that their techs
break my service when trying to do other things.

My last two significant outage were because

1) someone else in my building ordered cable ... installation of the splitter
dropped my signal beyond usability. They couldn't come fix it for seven (yes 7)
days. I was tempted to just pull off the splitter ... and let the new guy call
in for help.

2) I accepted their offer for the basic cable TV so they came out and put a
filter on ... which dropped my signal below usable.

Pretty sad ... for them to do a service call and not consider that they had
broken their other customers service.
