The visual of that is pretty amusing, and yet possible if not awkward.

I mostly include it for creating the means of being able to push a stronger
signal to the endpoint. But it can also lead to an interesting
understanding of what you can do with a wifi signal.

My solution was to purchase the Ethernet adapter for my Chromecast and fire
stick so they are both wired. This same idea can be combined with wifi
extender or ethernet extender.

Something like this might be what he needs, and then connect it to the WAN
port on his own router. or just another ethernet port and turn his router
into a switch/dumb AP (no gateway functions)
