You don't want a busness card program, you want a graphics arts program.
You can layout a card in GIMP and save it as a hi-res TIF. There are
printers on the Net (VistaPrint* comes to mind) that will print quality
full color cards inexpensively.
Saving as a TIF gets around font issues. Fonts on one platform never
match another platform exactly. Using Scribus or Inkscape and exporting
to a PDF should work too and will probably produce text better. Ask
your printer to do a test to see if things work out to your liking.
If you only need a small number of cards you can print them yourself.
Print on a lustre inkjet photo paper for a higher quality look compared
to the pre-perforated stock then cut with a good paper cutter.
