You can layout a card in GIMP and save it as a hi-res TIF. There are printers on the Net (VistaPrint* comes to mind) that will print quality full color cards inexpensively. Saving as a TIF gets around font issues. Fonts on one platform never match another platform exactly. Using Scribus or Inkscape and exporting to a PDF should work too and will probably produce text better. Ask your printer to do a test to see if things work out to your liking. If you only need a small number of cards you can print them yourself. Print on a lustre inkjet photo paper for a higher quality look compared to the pre-perforated stock then cut with a good paper cutter. dennisk *VistaPrint will even give you free cards, if you pick a standard design that promotes there printing services on the back. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
