I currently run Mandrake 10.1 on my Acer Aspire 1705Sci. I have tried
Suse and Mepis as well. Suse had some issues with the networking and the
video driver. Mepis seemed to work, but due to lack of time, I didn't
give it to detailed a try.
I have had Mandrake 9.2, 10.0, and 10.1 running on this laptop and so
far I haven't had any real issues with any of them. Install was very
easy and really didn't miss anything.
