Subject: New list member looking for advise.
Hello and greetings to you all of you Plug members. I a very new member, just registered moments ago. First, allow me to congratulate your leadership for such a well organized and informative website. I'm a 6 years experienced Systems Administrator residing in the City of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am responsible for a Linux/Windows mixed environment with a Linux farm of about 20 servers, ranging from Mail, DNS, File, Web (Internet and Intranet), CD/DVD burning, Iptables, DHCP, NFS, etc, "Resume Available", and a cluster or 50+ Windows workstations of all flavors, mostly, WinXp. The reason I'm soliciting comments from the membership is that I would love to relocate. I hear good things about Phoenix, not even including the beautiful weather. I noticed that there seems to
be a good number of job postings on the Plug's website; it gave me hope. However, as you might expect, I'm a bit apprehensive about the move itself. I have a wife and a 10 year old son and even though we're all in agreement about moving, there are always many things that one must take into consideration before such a venture. I'm thinking, house, job, neighborhoods, schools, church, and yes, very importantly, immigration. We're all Canadian citizens. I'm fully bilingual; my mother language is Spanish. My wife went to school in the States, graduated from a Bible College there. She has experience in Office Management. She would very easily be employed by Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants, Architects; anyone who has an office really. I want to express my gratitude for your time to this message and thanks for your comments. Regards, Rafael Sánchez
