Canon PowerShot A95

I Recently got a Canon PowerShot A95 digital camera which won't play with
Linux; When it is plugged in, I am given this message:

Dec 24 10:56:16 dillon2 kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x4a9/0x30bb)
is not claimed by any active driver.

The usb-storage module is in my /etc/modules file and is loaded at boot-up,
but somehow is not able to see the camera.
