Sorry to reply to myself, but I also needed to copy
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to /etc/X11/xorg.conf -- the default location of
the config file changed, but it will fall back to XF86Config if
xorg.conf isn't present. It didn't seem to notice XF86Config-4, though.
