I think, through a series of blunders and mis-starts on my part, I have made
it harder than it is. That and the fact that I am not really a sys admin.
I'm learning many things as I go here.

Yes is does. No it isn't.

Mailman does depend on cron jobs to get much of it's work done but a daemon
runs most of it. I think the key is the aliases that Kevin points to in the
other reply. I thought I set them up correctly but evidently not.

I'll continue in the morning.
