hear, hear!! linux is *very* ready for the desktop. I have also been
using it for years, since gnome was just gn. If there are problems with
how things are working on yours, I would suggest 1) user error (in terms
of not knowing how to configure it, and lack of a desire to learn) and 2)
old as the hills software.
re: printer. when was the last time *in windows* you could print from any
application before adding it to the OS first?!?!?
