If you use the ISC's dhclient (Debian package dhcp-client), you can
specify what to accept and what to ignore on the response. If you'd
like more details, I can power on my old firewall system (I'm currently
using a Linksys WAP/router) and dig up the details for you. See also
dhclient-script(8) and dhclient.conf(5) (specifically, the supersede,
prepend, and append modifiers).
