I come from a different perspective. I am a computer user, not a geek. I
was introduced to Linux and stayed with it for stability and security. Now,
I am starting to learn about the power.
The KDE GUI is much improved and extremely functional and improving with each
release. Linux is as easy to use as any other OS that I have used. But when
I found out the power of the command line, I found a whole new world. I have
never been computer-illiterate, but I have never had the ability to control
my machine and do things the way I want to do them until I found Linux.
IMHO, Linux succeeds on both the computer-user and the computer geek level.
I agree that most computer users cant even try to install the other OS, but
almost everyone can install and configure Linux.
