Yeah, that seemed like a deciding factor for me.

That almost changes my mind, but the Acer has been doing well. Also, that
points out that if they have the same hardware, then kidling can provide
technical support :)

We don't need a dedicated tablet at this point. Also, I have had
consistent bad experiences with Apple over the years, so like HP it's not
an option even if it was a Free Software platform.
