I think changing credit card numbers at this point is overkill. Say,
for instance, that one or more of your credit card numbers were among
the stolen ones. The worst that could happen would be that somebody
rings up a lot of charges on the card. If you read your statement
every month, you'd see this. Then, a quick call to your credit card
company would have all of those charges dropped from your card and
THEN you could change the numbers.

The key, here, is that you are not liable for any credit card charges
that you didn't make. I've had a few instances in the past where
unauthorized charges were put on my card (not stolen just
unauthorized) and it's always been extremely painless to get those
charges wiped.

So going out of your way to have your numbers changed now is probably
a lot of work for not any real benefit.

Now there *are* some cases in the news that are more worriesome.
Like that stolen (or lost) shipment of Citibank records. Those
records had actual customer information on them, not just account
numbers. That meant that if they fell into the wrong hands, that you
could be the victim of identify theft. THAT is a FAR bigger problem
than just simple credit card fraud.
