Thanks. I'll try a DVD-R next.

I just had a thought about burn settings. I have been mostly accepting
all the defaults provided by QDVDAuthor or K3b. I did not even look at
extensino settings. I note that the burn commandline from QDVDAuthor
specifies UDF. Does one need to worry about Julian, Rock Ridge or other
extentions when creating a DVD?

I'll only get to try something tonight after work but I want to keep
tapping the PLUG collective!
