Except that your personal preferences may reference somefile or
configuration that doesn't exist in new install.
I don't know if it helps:
rm ~/.mozilla/firefox/*/compreg.dat
But it is commonly suggested to remove compreg.dat under your firefox
profile before you run an new firefox.
I don't know why firefox is like that. It is very inconvenient.
Also, it sure would be nice if they officially provided a diff to their
source so I can download 500KB instead of 30MB for each update.
By the way, does anyone use Epiphany? How do you like it? (Although I
assume that the firefox issues are in Epiphany too.)
As for konqueror, it renders poorly for me and doesn't work with enough
sites.
