While at the ASULUG Installfest today, a participant dug up a document
that Preston Lee, of the ASULUG, put together about a year ago,
describing how to install ndiswrapper and the unmentionable drivers for
those pesky chipsets (Broadcom, etal) which have no Linux support
(drivers) from their makers. If you're unfortunate enough to have one of
these devices, this document should be a big help with getting your
wireless device up and running, albeit without the full functionality of
the device.
The pdf and tex forms of the document can be found at
http://lists.asu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0405&L=asulug&P=R10679&I=-3
A good reference to keep handy for installfests.
Thanks to Preston and our "sister" LUG!
