I run a MythTV box with an AverMedia M179 - it works, but the quality
leaves much to be desired. I've heard good things about the Hauppauge
PVR-250 and -350, but make sure the one you get has compatible firmware
- apparently Hauppauge has switched up the firmware of late. You can
find drivers and information on what will work for those two cards and
the M179 at

From my experience, setting up MythTV was easy. Setting up the capture
card was the hard part - the drivers were very much alpha quality when I
set up my box. It should be much better now.
