I run a MythTV box with an AverMedia M179 - it works, but the quality leaves much to be desired. I've heard good things about the Hauppauge PVR-250 and -350, but make sure the one you get has compatible firmware - apparently Hauppauge has switched up the firmware of late. You can find drivers and information on what will work for those two cards and the M179 at http://205.209.168.201/~ckennedy/ivtv/ From my experience, setting up MythTV was easy. Setting up the capture card was the hard part - the drivers were very much alpha quality when I set up my box. It should be much better now.
