What's the worst is when you not only have to keep someone else's box alive,
but they fight every step of the way.
My brother's convinced he saves disc space by removing the archive bit from
the files on the hard disc.
He also clears all caches and most cookies after every session, the cache for
the same reason.
The hard disc is 20Gb, of which 4 has been consumed. He's on a 56k
connection, so it won't exactly fill fast.
He's also a spam freak. Never posts anywhere or registers for anything, even
things he may enjoy, from spam fear.
He'll litany for ages about the evils of Google. "Relevance isn't a
mathematical thing." Yes. However, we're doing what we can.
AFAICT, Google is not out to eat my soul. Besides, it's already chewed on,
who would want it.
Things like cleaning heatsinks enrage him.
He failed "MS Office for idiots." No "I took 4 years of classes and passed
with all awards" will make my statements mean anything to him.
I want to cram his head into a 120mm fan and power it on.
