well, the power supply is easier and cheaper to replace than the
motherboard. from what you say so far, I'd guess the motherboard to be
slightly more likely than the power supply, but then again your
troubles started after adding a 3rd hard drive which is a significant
increase in power demands. it certainly will help your system to be
more reliable in the long run with a nicer power supply from antec or
sparkle.
