I never thought of usenet as particularly difficult, but I will agree that
there's less effort required with the file sharing services.
I haven't heard anything about the MPAA and RIAA going after irc. File
sharing on IRC has been around since before napster came along. Also
downloading files from irc is easier than usenet.
