Hi Mike,
And welcome to Scottsdale. Some time ago PLUG toured Sterling Networks[1] in Phoenix and their operation was *very* impressive. They are a carrier-grade facility which means they may be overkill for what you want. But having a 1U in a facility with multiple power/network redundancies (the building has never been without power since it was build in the '40s), 24/7 security and a builing the can survive most anything short of a direct bunker bomb hit has always seemed like a cool idea. <g>
You might also want to check Linode[2] which uses UML to give you a virtual server running any of the more popular Linux distros. Cost is much or reasonable.
