When you install the new boot loader, whatever it may be, to the MBR, it
will overwrite lilo.
Ex (installing grub to MBR):
grub --batch <<EOF
> root (hd0,0)
> setup (hd0)
> quit
> EOF
This'll put grub on the MBP and it will look for it's config files on
hda1.
