I've had the opposite results. Every returned item I've purchased has
worked like a charm (2 video cards, ethernet hub, network adapters,
...).
Since they have such a liberal return policy, it's worth it to me to buy
the returned item at a reduced price, even if I may have to take it
back.
I also find it hard to believe they would put something back on the
shelf that they've tested and found to be defective. Having said that, I
wouldn't be surprised if they repackaged something a customer said was
bad (they assumed the customer was the problem - not the hardware).
