Subject: mount /dev/hda3 stuff
hi all,

i recently formmatted some unused space on my hdd. and
couldn't see it in linux, as i expected, by default.
so i tried the following.
mkdir /mnt/localbackup
mount -t /dev/hda3 /mnt/localbackup

it made the dir and after mounting the hda3 partition
was finally able to access it

but i have to mount it each time i reboot. i suspect
you all know how to make this so i can always access
the partition, when i setup slackware it made hda1
(windoze.vfat.partition) always mounted.

and i always log in as root so permissions don't seem
to be an issue. oh and by the way I know that in
theory i should not be using root user for normal
everyday usage...

mike!
