Infrared remote

I have acquired an old IBM Aptiva remote and receiver; P/N: 76H6955, 76H6958

I was thinking of using this as a Myth TV type of device.
Googling, I can't find anything about it as far as pin outs, etc...

Any insight as to what I could do with it?
