Usually for the unicies:

/etc/hosts

For Win32 95/98/ME
C:\Windows\

For WinNT 4/Win2000
C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc

For WinXP
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

If you have an unusual install for Windows, your hosts file path will
always start with %windir%\<etc...>
You can ECHO %windir% (like H:\Windows, F:\WINDOWS001, etc...) to find
your system directory and go from there
