Nathan: Having gone through the same thing recently (two cards at
Fry's bought and returned, countless hours of trial and error, and
finally giving up) I will just say that for every card, you will find
at least one person who claims to have made it work. The number of
variables is high, though. They all invoke "YMMV" and they *mean* it.

My advice is to post the details of your hardware and software, then
get bids and if anyone appears competent, pay 'em $$ to get 'er done.
Or else do like me, and use a old, ugly cat-5 cable. :-) Someone who
understands Linux and really understands networking is worth it. (I
say that as someone who understands neither).
