emr.net is linux friendly.

Why not check out Qworst, er Qwest's basic dsl. You
don't get anything except a POP. No email, no usesnet,
no webspace, etc, but that is what I am using. $15/mo
plus a $6.99 POP. You can lease the modem for $3/mo or
buy outright for $60. There IS a ten dollar
ship/handling fee, but that is one time. Just a
thought. Beats dialup and not tht much more even when
leasing the modem. So, since you pay$22 or 23 now, 25
isn't that big a jump and you get an hones 256/256.
BIG difference in speed, webpages load faster...unless
the server is loaded/whatever, but mostly.

Not sure what if any special is going on now, but
worth looking at.
