I only want to take issue with a couple of things. I use and prefer IMAP
and would concur with most of this but...
I have seen OE set up user files in Documents and Settings\Temporary
Files\Identities\Microsoft\Outlook Express which doesn't get backed up
as part of roaming profile. I suspect this varies with version of OE and
OS.
Users have to learn to log off if their profiles roam. There is no other
option.
Fetchmail is good for limited use, not for many users/multiple users.
