I would like to make my usually plug for Cygwin right now.. If
functionality is more important over performance, Cygwin is
definitely *the* winner. Also, Cygwin packages are constantly
being upgraded for security reasons.

I am, for instance, running OpenSSH client and server on my XP box
at home. On that same box I run fetchmail, WU-IMAP, Apache,
Postgresql, etc, etc, etc. All these are packages built into the
Cygwin install.

Again, the only down side is the Microsoft Services for Unix seems
a little 'faster' in most operations.. not a lot but it is noticeable.
