I've just started a company that will be creating a ton of web sites for various
clients. We're a statup with almost no cash so we need to keep our overhead
low. Since we want to be able to do anything the client needs, we can't just go
with a $10/month provider where we can't install anything.
Originally I did research and decided on Deru which was the cheapest I could
find locally for setting up a co-located server ($25 per rack unit + $80 for 30G
of bandwidth + cost of hardware). We've been stalled a few months due to lack
of funds :(
Last week I saw a banner ad on slashdot for globalservers.com
(
http://globalservers.com/splash1.htm?link_id=3837171496&type=click ) that
looks like just the thing we need.
Has anyone used a company like this before?
Is this company known to be a spam haven?
Is there a down side to using virtual private servers?
