Some proprietary programs (maybe Greeting Card Factory) have their images
in their own formats. It may be too time consuming to convert. ...

... and I'd want the pictures to be reusable any time without worry if I
still have license, can share with friends, use in commercial projects,
etc.

I know there are royalty-free clipart that I can purchase. But it seems
like it would be better to have a free project for this.
