I will NEVER give my business to Cox again. I was even an installer for
them for awhile. IMHO, they are the worst company to deal with in the
valley.=0D
When I finally got fed up with their flaky cable modem service, channels
that were fuzzy and messed up on my TV, I totally ditched them and went w=
ith
Dish Network for my TV and DSL for my Internet. I have never regretted t=
he
change for a moment. My local channels are much clearer on the satellite
than they ever were with Cox.=0D
Plus, their customer service is absolutely horrible. It usually takes 45
minutes to get ahold of a CSR, and, when you do, they are semi-clueless.=20
The last dealings I had with them was when I sold my cable modem on Ebay =
to
a guy who lives here in Phoenix. He called and said that though my Cox
account was closed, it still showed the cable modem on my account and ask=
ed
if I would call them and have it taken off of the account so that he coul=
d
add it to his.=0D
Forty-five minutes on hold later, I finally got ahold of a CSR who comple=
ted
the transaction.=0D
In my apartment complex we can have the small dishes. When I moved in in
December 2000, there was 1 dish. Now, about 20% of the apartments have
small dishes. That is a good barometer of Cox.=0D

If I subtract the cable TV portion off my bill I get phone and cable=0D
internet (Cox) for $72 (no the phone is NOT cheaper than Qwest). At the=0D
=2E.10/min rates posted on the Cox web site, I'm left with 129 minutes of=
long=0D
distance until my bill is equal to yours.=0D
=0D
Granted, I still have Cox controlling some of what I can do, but unless a=
=0D
person regularly makes long distance calls I think Cox is a better value =
(I=0D
can't believe I just said that).=0D
=0D
So, you're NOT wrong, it just depends ;-)=0D
