I havent worried about my netvista giving the 'error'
either. Just kinda think it is something in the bios,
but this one is 'messed' up by ittsy bittzy machinery.
I picked up a 866 p3 netvista that knoppix's first
statement is
'only one processor found'
Everything else works as long as you leave the nic in.
It has a 'netvista' ibm bios which is marginal to say
the least..no cdrom boot, but at least they allowed
you to boot from flappies.
Oh, well. Would like to remove the nic adapter thingy,
but bios dies if it is removed??? hum??? So it only
has two pci slots and one is used by me already.
