Firebird is a browser, mozilla is a large suite.=20

NO! I have exposed several people to the GIMP and it is too complicated. Th=
e
advanced stuff is not nearly as important as the simple, but the design of =
the
GIMP does not reflect this.

Yes, bit only after changing the prefences so that it defaults to MSFT form=
ats
and it should be changes so that it does not nag the user for not using a
that is different that what most of the world uses.

Sure, but only after the process for installing plugins is streamlined or y=
ou
can install all the normal plugins for the user.

No, Mozilla is a far better browse, I have found Konqueror to be designed t=
o
be
a file manager, rather than a web browser. IE and the file manager work muc=
h
together than Konqueror.

I have only used brifely. I do not know the pit falls.

Yes, but only on unix like platforms and when all the plugins are
installed. This is a great program, but it is bear to upgraded if you are n=
ot
current. I have had far more problems with rpm's in the last week than I ha=
ve
ever had with the so called ".dll hell".

NO! Openoffice should be suggested because a user should not need overlappi=
ng
software.

I have never used.

I have never used.

I am not sure what this means.=20

My thought is that someone ought to pay for the streamlining/converging of=
=20
GAIM, Mozilla, Evolution, Openoffice, and the GIMP.=20

ActiveX is a good idea.
