If you want to take the class, then you have to
enroll as a student at SCC and pay money. The
cost of the class will be at least $167.

Tuition is $51 per credit hour (this is a 3-credit course),
$9 lab fee (this is primarily revenue generation for SCC),
and a $5 registration fee (again, revenue generation).

Additional costs: transportation and book(s).

Only you can compute your transportation cost.
If you drive, then here is an introductory
PHP source code example that enables you to
compute your gas costs. The class meets one
day a week for sixteen weeks.

The course doesn't have a required text, but
you may need to buy a good Unix book if you
don't already have one.
