Yes it pings through the interface. That is how I ping the other computers
on that network. No there are no firewall rules right now. If I can not ping
the router I will not use the second interface since that is the interface
that will be used to support the class C network on the inside of the
business and that is the network that the other computers will be moved to
once I get the SPARC box to ping the DSL modem.

Can the SPARC ping other computers through that interface (when you connect
it,
does that interface work?)? Is there a firewall running on the SPARC (Linux
2.2
you'd probably do "ipchains -L" to list the rules)?
