Mapping commands to keys..

Hey all,

         Does anyone know how to map a key execute a command, like a /bin/sh 
script.  
I don't think xmodmap will work, and kde can't do this.  I know Enlightenment 
and WindowMaker can do this natively, but I am using KDE2.1..  Any ideas..
