okay; if you get the 'bad superblock' error when attempting to mount a
drive you did something to the drives filesystem which prevents it from
mounting through the GUI. The solution to this is to mount the drive
through the terminal (CLI?) (ohhhhh.... command line interface) and copy
the files to a new drive with the CLI and reformat the drive. you can tell
the device in the bad superblock error message. ChatGPT said that the
error was in the filesystem and is not easily repaired.
